ACCA · Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
One qualification recognised in 180 countries — the same letters open doors in Mumbai, Dubai, and London. 13 papers across 3 levels, with up to 9 exemptions if you’ve done CA or B.Com. Taught by faculty who’ve made the move themselves.
Most B.Com students skip 4–6 of the 13 papers. Takes 30 seconds to find out.
Start from zero
ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. It is a professional accounting body headquartered in the United Kingdom, and one of the largest and most respected in the world, with members and students across more than 180 countries.
Think of it as the global equivalent of CA. Where CA is the gold standard for accounting practice inside India, ACCA is the qualification that lets you work as a finance professional almost anywhere — the UK, the UAE, Singapore, Ireland, Canada, and across most of Europe and Africa.
What you actually learn: financial reporting under IFRS, audit and assurance, taxation, management accounting, financial management, and — at the final level — strategic business leadership. It is a complete finance education, not a narrow specialism.
What it gets you: roles in Big 4 audit and advisory, financial reporting teams at multinationals, FP&A, internal audit, and finance leadership tracks in global capability centres. It is also the fastest credible route out of India for a finance career, which for many of our students is the entire point.
Why ACCA
ACCA does not require a degree to begin. A student starting at 18 can be an ACCA affiliate before their friends finish a three-year B.Com.
B.Com graduates typically receive 4–6 exemptions; qualified CAs receive up to 9 and enter at Strategic Professional. You do not start from zero.
Every multinational, every GCC, every Big 4 global engagement runs on IFRS. That is what ACCA teaches from day one.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh all recognise ACCA, and Indian ACCA members are actively recruited there.
ACCA freshers in India typically start at ₹6–8 LPA, against roughly ₹3–4 LPA for an unqualified B.Com graduate.
Significant syllabus overlap means many of our students run both, and each accelerates the other.
Salary and exemption ranges from published Indian ACCA advisory and salary sources, 2026. Final exemptions are always determined by ACCA from your transcripts.
Eligibility
Enter Applied Knowledge with the required marks in English plus Maths or Accounts. If you don't meet them, the FIA route gets you in and articulates straight into ACCA. Typical finish: 22–23 years old — before most of your friends have finished a degree.
Faculty
Every paper is taught by a rank holder, Big 4 professional or specialist mentor — the people who have topped it or practised it at the highest level.
Course structure
This is the table that closes the decision for most people. Every paper, and exactly what it covers.

|---|---|---|
| After Class 12 | 13 | 2.5–3 years |

Becoming an ACCA member needs three things, not one: pass all 13 exams, complete 36 months of practical experience (PER), and finish the Ethics & Professional Skills Module.
The good news: your PER runs alongside your exams, not after them. Internships and full-time roles both count. Most of our students complete both in the same 2–3 year window.
